Chemical Biology
Chemical Biology research uses the tools of chemistry and synthesis to understand biology and disease pathways at the molecular level. The Chemistry Department at UC Davis has recently expanded the Chemical Biology program by establishing new research infrastructure in the form of a Chemical Biology Core Facility and increasing graduate course offerings. Faculty interests include diverse topics such as nucleic acids, DNA repair, bioconjugate chemistry, peptides and peptidomimetics, glycoscience, biomolecular structure and function, imaging, and biological catalysis.
