The Jack-O-Lantern
lit up by a different sort of candle
The chemistry club dragged some pumpkins and explosives
out to the Rocky Horror Picture Show, which played in
Chem 194 on Halloween night, 2003.

Ryan and Dr. Osterloh carve out
their pumpkins.
Dr. Osterloh, Ryan, and Chris pose
with the fire department and the incendiary Jack-O-Lanterns.
Voila! A Jack-O-Lantern lit up by a Strontium-tinted
Potassium Chlorate fire, we call it Instant Fire, and
its always a hit at the shows.

A close-up of the doomed lantern. What's that balloon
for? Methinks it was full of hydrogen. Unfortunately,
there are no pictures to show what happened to it!
